Lucky Matt, he got to spend some time at this lovely cabin nestled in a vineyard while he was in San Francisco. To me this pretty much epitomizes the beauty and calm of simplistic design, along with a few quirky touches. I particularly like the dresser with a missing drawer used to store books-which now justifies so many furniture purchases that I would have otherwise said no to. (missing drawers? no problem!) Also, it seems to me that each piece could tell a story and would feel more like old friends rather than places to sit or beds to sleep on.
If you want to see more images of the cabin check them out here.
update: we realize we were naughty and didn't give credit to those responsible for such an amazing place. (thanks for filling us in Alice) The house is the Chalk Hill Residency at the Warnecke Ranch which you can read more about here.
Andrea-It is at a Vineyard in Healdsburg. Matt's cousin lives in a different cabin on the same property. If you are interested in staying there let us know and we will see what we can do!
